Celebrate the Holidays at Del Mar
For Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, Del Mar will offer its regular menu with the addition of holiday and seasonal specials such as Alcachofas a la Brasa with Mahon Cheese and White Truffles; Roasted Local Turkey with Whipped Potatoes, Chestnut Stuffing, and Wild Mushroom Gravy; and Arroz de Verduras with Artichokes, Chestnuts, Kabocha Squash, and Chanterelle Mushrooms. On Christmas Eve the menu will also include Icelandic Sea Urchin with Poached Shigoku Oysters, and Caviar; and Arroz Meloso with Wild Scorpionfish and Red King Prawns.
Tanqueray Champion Shaker in Residence at Del Mar
Del Mar is the first restaurant in Washington, D.C. to hold the Tanqueray Champion Shaker. The Champion shaker was originally designed in the 19th century to execute the perfect Ramos Gin Fizz, which normally takes a very long shake (nearly 15 minutes!). The Tanqueray Champion Shaker, which can be seen in action in DC only at Del Mar, is one of 34 around the world, and cuts the shaking time by two thirds. To honor the revival of this stunning piece of machinery Del Mar is offering a special Bar menu to celebrate!
Introducing Del Mar Café
Our Del Mar Café seating is open in Sutton Square, featuring our signature Sangria and Spanish beer on draught as well as our full menu available for delicious al fresco dining. Now we have several beautiful outdoor dining options - our second floor Terraza and now the Café!
